Great site, Joe, I have it bookmarked. My new mantra on collimating is "keepuh-yu-hands-off". I received my XT8 this past Saturday, 9/19/04, really appreciate your page on this scope. After getting my XT4.5's secondary out of whack, the collimating cap is simple-good enough for now. Thanks again for posting your page. Here's my url, it ran a bit over up top: http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/AlbumList?u=4101034 Feel free to email me. Best regards, K. Owen XT4.5, XT8 C60f15 s.e. Louisiana

I was wondering if B.J.Burkett from Texas of "Stolen Valor" is the same Burkett from Texas that is mixed up in CBS' Dan Rather's recent "forged documents"?

This is in response to "Arnie" whose message appears above. No, the Burkett of the CBS documents affair is not the same Burkett who is the author of "Stolen Valor." The author is a Vietnam vet who served 2 years active duty then went into business for himself. The CBS document Burkett is a long-time Texas National Guard officer.

Loved looking through all of your photos! I am from Williamson, W. Va. Although I left when I was a child my fondest memories are still there. I loved the mountians and long to return. Am 45 now and sure hope that I get that chance befor long. My children have grown up on all the stories from my childhood and all the romping around we used to do in the foothills. Thanks for giving me a peek at my past. Please add more photos of the mountians, I miss them so!

I noticed that on the main page you have what you call the "bush body count" regarding the death of my fellow soldiers in iraq, some of whom I knew personally. I KNOW that their sacrifice was not in vain, and that what we are doing in iraq is just. For you to dishonor them for political gain like that is shamefull. You should be recalled to active duty and court marshalled. An Army CW2 351E

You as an Army Officer to bash Bush that way is just shameful. Yes i have respect for officers retired or active but this is an outrage against America.

This is in response to the two preceding comments from CW2 351E and SrA Hammer. So, you two are telling me that as a retired Army officer I gave up my First Amendment rights? CW2 351E: No, the war in Iraq is not just. We went to war based on a package of lies carefully contrived by the Bush junta. And you need to learn to spell "court-martial."

like the above statement about the lies. without solid research to back that up it is just liberal propaganda. so you are either very mad and not very smart or you really do hate america and our values like your liberal buddies like micheal moore-on

I recently purchased a 10in Discovery Dob and have enjoyed the initial views. Your collimation page was very helpful, as well as the other articles (on collimation) which you referenced. Thanks very much for sharing your insights. Also, I had to smile when you mentioned tinkering with a VW beetle. My dad had one when we were younger - and used to love to tinker with it also. God bless, and Clear Skies to you, sincerely, John Frank

I know of your hatred of our President, Colonel. Sorry, but you'll have to put up with him for the next 4 years. Since "we" control both houses of congress, and after 3 or 4 high court appointments, "we" will be passing all the legislation he wants and shaping this country with conservatism from all directions and you can't do a damn thing about it. Har-de-har-har!

Well, well, Colonel, there is a way to survive the next 4 years. It seems there is a flood of inquiries by Americans to the Canadian immigration web site: OTTAWA (Reuters) - The number of U.S. citizens visiting Canada's main immigration Web site has shot up six-fold as Americans flirt with the idea of abandoning their homeland after President Bush's election win this week. "When we looked at the first day after the election, Nov. 3, our Web site hit a new high, almost double the previous record high," immigration ministry spokeswoman Maria Iadinardi said on Friday. On an average day some 20,000 people in the United States log onto the Web site, www.cic.gc.ca -- a figure which rocketed to 115,016 on Wednesday. The number of U.S. visits settled down to 65,803 on Thursday, still well above the norm. So, Colonel, enjoy the cool weather and especially the exchange rate for your American dollars, and we'll let you know when a Liberal is elected pres. I don't see that happening until, say, 2016. Pack your long johns!!

Thanks very much for putting up a guide on removing links from a Casio wristband. I bought a Casio MPT3036 and was rather upset that Casio provided no information on this process, not even on Casio's web-site -- that's a _big_ negative! ...the happier I was when I found your guide. Thanks so much! ...Casio should better thank you, too!
